ReMix is a collaborative exchange project between artists and curators from Hamilton area, Cienfuegos and Havana, Cuba. Comprising site-specific responses to places, sites and ideas that could be perceived as ‘institutions’ such as the “Hamilton Tourist Board," “Cuban Music,” "the environment," "Latin Dancing," the artists created and exhibited work on site at the Art Centre Cienfuegos, and at La Casa in Vedado, Havana in a parallel event in the 10th Bienal de la Habana. Sites for interventions, workshops and exhibitions in the Hamilton area include Workers Arts and Heritage Centre, Hamilton Artists Inc., The Print Studio, Dundurn Castle, Griffin House, Fieldcote House, You Me Gallery, Christ's Church Cathedral, Artword Artbar and The Pearl Company.
Initiated by Julio Ferrer, and curated by Rafaela Perna (Cienfuegos), Yuneikys Villalonga (Havana) and Ingrid Mayrhofer (Hamilton).
